GM improves the fuel economy of Cruze Eco's with automatic transmissions:

The "...lower axle ratio..." mentioned is the result of GM replacing the current 3.87:1 automatic axle ratio with a new 3.53:1 automatic axle ratio on 2012 Cruze Eco's equipped with automatic transmissions. This new lower axle ratio is also standard on 2012 Cruze LTZ and an option on automatic 2LT models.
