I traded in my 2011 for a 2014 after a horendous accident $9000 damage.
The windows are supposed to be factory tinted but look as if they are not tinted. No one talks about tinting whats up???

Wow, sorry to hear about your '11 Cruze, but glad that you are OK.

Our '11 LTZ didn't even have 'Tinted Windows' as an option, but our dealership had a local tint-shop do all the windows before we purchased, that way, they were considered "factory/dealer" installed and thus covered by car insurance. Typically, things installed "after" purchase, aren't covered by many insurance companies.

The windows are tinted from the manufacturer but for cars it's usually not the dark privacy tint like trucks and SUV's get. There is tint there but it's more of a solar or UV barrier than a dark privacy tint.

I have 18% tint on my Monte Carlo and plan on having the Cruze tinted with 18% as well, probably next spring.
