Which engine oil is best for Chevy Cruze?

Hello guys,

I bought a brand new Chevrolet Cruze 2012 car, so I want to know from you guys which engine oil is best for this car and what is the range?

5W-30 semi-synthetic dexos-1 is specified for the North American (USA, Canada, Mexico) Cruzes, but it is probably different for european or asian market specifications. So in what country was your Cruze made...and, what does your Owners Manual say?

The general concensus seems to be that GM is marketing the 2014 Diesel Cruze NOT as a FUEL ECONOMY vehicle, but rather as a LONG-RANGE (~700 miles!) cruising vehicle, something like a "babby" Mercedes-Benz Diesel of years ago. Hence, it's 6-speed automatic only transmission and up-scale leather seating, etc.
