CUDA why do some vehicles not come with cabin air filters? is it a design difference or ....?

As far as I'm aware, ALL Cruzes have a cabin air filter...designated to meet HEPA air-quality requirements:

although, some replacement filters are barely more than pleated-paper "chunk" filters, others (OEM) actually contain carbon granules to "absorb" cabin smells, especially 'stinky' feet odors associated with older airconditioning evaporators. And, putting it in backwards can occur, so note which direction the "arrow" points on the old filter before you remove it and install the new one.


P.S.--maybe someone in EPA should learn how to correctly spell CONTROL, especially when used in the 'title' of their paper?!?!

I thought I had a great invention a few years ago - scented cabin air filters. Apparently I was way too late to that game.

...it's located "behind" the glovebox (behind snap-out cover item #3); the glovebox must be opened & removed for access to the door and then the filter.

I believe it the location of cabin filter depends on the type of vehicle.

All model Cruzes have their cabin airfilter in same location, behind the glovebox.
