    Shaving Badges

Removing, or shaving, badges can give your car a nice clean look. It isn't really hard at all but can be tedious and require some patience. I have done this before and this is what I recommend. Wash the area to be worked. Warm the badge up with a hair dryer to help soften the adhesive, being...

    2015 Cruze Spy Shots...

Overall shape seems to be similar to the current car, especially looking at the car's profile from the side, but it's hard to tell specific features with all the camo. Will be slightly longer (most of that towards the rear), improving passenger and cargo space. There will likely be some design...

    K&N Performance Intake

K&N 69 Series Typhoon Performance Air Intake Kit (PN 69-4521TS) available for the 1.4L Turbo. Intake is not street legal in all US states and is not TUV approved in Europe, so check local laws. Filter comes with the kit and is a lifetime K&N filter that gets cleaned and "recharged" with their...

If you had $5000 to spend...

Haha yes exactly. The Monte Carlo is my toy and I'd really like to do some engine work to it in the future to get some more power out of it.

If you had $5000 to spend...

I am getting window tint (18%) for the Cruze this spring. Other than that, I'd probably put that $5k into my Monte Carlo.

    2013 Chevrolet Cruze RS Package

RS package production started the week of November 5, 2010, after more than a three week delay, with a delivery around mid December. The problem was with the side skirts not staying attached to the car. The skirts were reworked and put back into production. I give GM kudos for getting it right...

    Tire Shine

Thanks! I've been detailing for well over fifteen years now. I've been doing my own personal vehicles for eight years and had my own business, by myself doing client vehicles, two summers ago. I've learned my fair share during that period, mostly just from learning tricks on my own. IMO tire...

    2011 Chevy Cruze Service Manual

Seems like people that are interested in cars and can work on, and maintain, their own vehicles nowadays is becoming fewer and far between. True that back then cars were more simple and easier to work on but today's cars are definitely still workable at home with the right tools and knowledge...

    2011 Chevy Cruze Service Manual

Helm manuals are by far the best service manuals available. The dealerships use them. I had a set for my 03 Monte Carlo and they were invaluable. Still looking to get ahold a set for my 06 Monte Carlo and will probably buy a set for the Cruze when the time comes to start replacing parts.

    2014 Chevrolet SS

There's been a lot of speculation of this car recently, so here's the new 2014 Chevrolet SS. Sister car to the Holden Commodore and discontinued Pontiac G8. The SS is being introduced at Daytona this weekend (Feb. 16-17). 6.2-liter LS3 V8 pushing 415 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque, six-speed...

I shall not be buying another CRUZE

^Agreed. Do your homework before you buy. Except for fuel economy, all the dislikes mentioned should have been realized even before buying the car. I wouldn't blame Chevrolet for that.

    2013 Chevrolet Cruze RS Package

I know the RS package was introduced at the 2010 New York Int'l Auto Show, so late first quarter/early second quarter, but when was it made available?

    Tire Shine

Within last five years or so I have been using Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Coating and love the results. It comes in a 15 oz. aerosol can and is applied like spray paint. Application is nice and does not run. Once applied, I go over the wheel with a dry shop towel to remove any overspray. The Hot...

    2013 Chevrolet Cruze RS Package

Both very true statements, CUDA. I agree, that RS rear bumper can look large, especially for a small car, but that lower insert does look good while helping to disguise and break up that quite a bit. I do really like the overall appearance and stance the RS package adds to the car.

Post your Cruze and have it added to the forum design!

I'll post some of mine here in a few months as it's impossible to take any real beauty shots of it cleaned and detailed during the winter.

    RS package

Removing, or shaving, badges isn't really hard at all but can be tedious. Warm the badge up with a hair dryer to help soften the adhesive, being careful not to get it too hot which can damage the paint. Then take fishing wire and go back and forth, in a sawing motion, behind the badge through...

Thanks! Still need those real beauty shots of it when it's cleaned up and detailed. Hopefully in a few months when it warms up.

    2014 Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel

I don't know about other areas, but SE Michigan is seeing diesel at about 40¢/gallon more than regular gas. This is why, with how much everyone watches gas prices nowadays, a part of me doesn't really see the point of a diesel car in the States. IMO the higher cost of fuel alone will deter most...
