What is a Cruze to you: Economy or Performance?

GM touts the Cruze as being an "economy" car but there seem to be many owners who wish it had more of "performance."

So, what is a Cruze to you?

Do you "visualize" the Chevrolet Cruze as an economy car, a performance car, or just basic transportation?

In my case I would say more so economy, as it's my daily driver and long commute car. Even though there's higher economy Cruze levels (i.e. ECO), the LTZ's styling and appearance is what drew me to my eventual purchase. The LTZ's 1.4L Turbo fuel economy is pretty good and performance-wise it's enough. For what it is it gets up and moves pretty well.
