Buyer, something to be aware of!

For those of you who are experiencing the coolant/antifreeze smell and are getting nowhere with the dealer AND/OR GM, you might want to watch this video. Maybe you could contact this TV station or the Lemon Lawyer in the video for some help or advice or contact Rick Sherf directly at [email protected]. I know people in groups like this love to say- change dealers- but WHY should you? It's up to GM to keep these dealers in line! It's up to Akerson to see that the people under him are doing their job! If GM can make a dealer spend $$$$$$ changing their buildings to the blue/silver theme, I would think that they could certainly make them tow the line when it comes to service and the BS some of the service advisors tell customers.

I know the economy still stinks, but Toyota is selling tons of cars, enough to knock GM out of the number 1 spot! If GM doesn't open their eyes and start to help their customers, they can expect to go lower in the ratings. It's happened before and it can happen again!

Saw this article today and IMMEDIATELY realized that this is EXACTLY what my 2011 Cruze LTZ RS used to do! The only problem was they NEVER fixed mine and claimed it was "operating as designed"! Mark my words, just like the ignition recall now, you will eventually see a recall for the 2011 Cruze tranny!

PS For anyone interested my 2013 Buick Verano Turbo is GREAT! 16 months and not ONE problem except some minor recall for sticking door lock or something like that! NO comparison with the Cruze no matter what ANYONE says! The two cars are like night and day! Hopefully this current GM fiasco will FINALLY put an END to GM sweeping things under the rug! Karma is a bitch!

(Reuters) - General Motors Co is recalling about 56,400 model year 2013 Cadillac SRX crossover vehicles because of possible delays in acceleration linked to a computer program that controls the transmission, U.S. regulators said on Thursday.

"In certain driving situations, there may be a three to four second lag in acceleration due to the transmission control module programming," said a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The NHTSA said the condition can increase the chances of a crash, but GM said it was not aware of any crashes related to this issue.

GM said that 50,591 of the recalled SRX crossovers are in the United States, 3,306 in Canada, 367 in Mexico and 2,123 in other markets.
The affected vehicles have 3.6-liter engines. Consumers are asked to bring their cars to GM dealerships to have the transmission control modules reprogrammed.

The affected Cadillac SRX crossovers were produced from May 29, 2012 to June 26, 2013.
