Only under ideal conditions will you get 39 mpg for a gas engine where as a diesel is easy to get 42 mpg for highway driving. It's not just the mpg but what the diesel can do in hills and the mountains. Put it in cruise control and it maintains that speed in the hills without down shifting...

VW had thousands of heater core leaks on new cars and they fixed them. I had one of those cars. When I buy a new Cruze, I will add that to my contract to cover for a leak.

Heater cores have been leaking for years. My first core to leak was a 51 chevey and my last was a 09 VW Passat. Doesn't happen often but it does happen.

That looks like a low profile? Don't want any more of those.

Fuel economy is not my best suit. Seems I have a heavy foot. My wife gets much better mileage. Now, that is not with a the Cruse diesel, but we have had three vw diesels and have a Jetta sportwagen. Looking forward to owning a Cruze diesel.

Good first step. Some of us will be watching GM because of the loan from FG and it has been over 20 years since I've owned a GM product.
